I Love Thursday #191 So Many Blessings

This is the 191st post of things we love for the week. We post each week along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out.  You will surely find something to inspire you. “From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another.” John 1:16

Wooly mammoth! We went to a wedding at the Kenosha Public Museum last weekend. It was our first since the pandemic began, and it was a nice venue. In between the ceremony and the reception we were able to enjoy the exhibits. One was quite interesting of a wooly mammoth that was discovered in SE Wisconsin in 1994. It walked the area many, many years ago but was a significant find when the bones were discovered. It’s the largest and most complete specimen ever found in North America. Amazing!

TikTok Challenge! I isn’t really a love or even a like. I was amazed that someone would issue such a challenge for students of any age. Of course, we experienced the September challenge in our school district with a few fifth-grade boys . . . but hopefully, no other months’ challenge will be met. I don’t follow TikTok at all, and probably won’t.

Fun at the pumpkin farm was had by our littles this week. Colt thought he should have a BIG pumpkin to take home. If he could carry it, he could have it. Smiles peeking out from the giant pumpkin by Colty and Dominic and Addison. On to the cute candy house for more fun and a pause for additional pictures.

Then it was time to pose for some photos on the front porch . . . Addison and Chase were good sports. You can see Chase’s hair is getting a wee bit darker already. The two brothers play with the wooden train set – we hear that Chase is a big fan. Finally, here’s a baby enjoying the Tummy Tag quilt made for Addison. Chase just can’t understand why he can’t get that tag in his hand?! He keeps on trying, though.

The pumpkin farm looks like an awesome time. I think Colt should have got to take home the pumpkin coach! Great pics of all the kiddos too. TIK TOK challenges, just rolling my eyes. Sheesh

  2. Loving that your pumpkin area has so many neat things for the kiddos! They sure are getting big! Chase trying to pick that up was hilarious 🙂 Have a safe and happy weekend!

  3. Oh my, shocked at that Tik Tok challenge! Fantastic photos at the pumpkin farm. And here its Spring!

  4. Oh how nice to see those photos of two favourite things, the little ones and pumpkins. They are such beautiful children. Great quote from John. Awesome venue for a wedding. And now I’ll sound like an old lady, but that particular stuff on TikTok is just awful. Definitely not advancing or improving society.

Look at the size of those pumpkins! That woolly mammoth is cool! Good grief – never know what’s coming up next with TikTok challenges.

  6. What a cool venue for a wedding! A friend and I were just talking about those TikTok challenges – they’re so ridiculous and kids definitely don’t need any encouragement. Love the pumpkin patch photos, Roseanne! What a fun place!

  7. Connie says:

The Tik Tok challenge is a very sad commentary on that generation, that’s for sure. But the pumpkins are huge! Wow! Love all the pics of the little ones…this was a fun end to my day, have me smiling now…thank you!

  8. Gail Sheppard says:

Very cute pics of the kidlets!!! They look great surrounded by / and in pumpkins!
I agree about the TikTok thing – that’s horrid!

    Aw, what sweet faces!!

  10. Kathleen McCormick says:

Wow – those pumpkins are amazing and the kids are having a ball! TikTok is an annoyance. I think we need to get away from all this video nonsense. Every platform wants videos….its driving me crazy.

Love your photo of the woolly mammoth. It must have been a fantastic venue for the wedding. are the bride and groom working there or in the sciences? Those TikTok challenges are awful. My grandson tells me about them as he is in middle school. He says one of the teachers put a blurb on her white board: “How about the next TikTok challenge be for everyone to turn in their homework…on time!!” And those littles and the pumpkins. So nice to see their joyful smiles. Do you think Chase is going to be a leftie?

  12. Rose Mikulski says:

Great Halloween photos! And wasn’t I the one who thought Chase looked more like Mom? (That’s her hair color, right?) And that TikTok Challenge is so stupid, thank goodness my boys are grown.

  13. Wendy Tuma says:

We have a pumpkin farm just across the highway from us, but their pumpkins are small compared to that one Colt has his eye/hands on! Colt dreams big – I hope he continues to do so! Cute photos of the littles!

  14. I love the pictures! The kiddos are so cute 🥰 the pumpkin farm looks like so much fun! We’re taking Jaxon to a pumpkin farm this weekend! Take care and happy Thursday!!

  15. Wow, the pumpkin farm looks like such great fun!! I love seeing them enjoying themselves. Our kiddos love going to the pumpkin patch each year, still – sometimes two different ones!! They always come home with a pumpkin each and eventually their dad will make them pumpkin pies before they go bad! Then freeze the rest that they don’t use! I’m not on TikTok either. I have enough to keep up with besides that!! LOL I hope you don’t experience anymore of those challenges this year!

Life under the Democrat Regime is lovely isn’t it! This is not the world I have lived in all my 76 years.

  17. Vicki in MN says:

The pumpkin farm looks like a winner in the kiddos book! So fun to get to pick your very own pumpkin:) Speaking of taggy quilt, I need to make a tiny taggy blanket for our 3 month old granddaughter, I better get on that pretty soon
