I Love Thursday #186 Prolific Blessings
This is the 186th post of things we love for the week. We post each week along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Change your order, change your luck! I remember a musician saying that at a concert we attended many moons ago . . . and it stuck with me. When I saw this meme this morning in my daily Mindsets email, it struck me again just how true it is. Just as all of our Thursday friends have found, looking for and on the bright side of things makes your whole life a wee bit brighter. Along similar lines, I do believe you can change your future by changing your attitude. Positivity draws positivity towards it like a moth to bright light. ~smile~
Love grows! I came home from work one day and found this lovely picture waiting for me. Look at those little babies’ footprints! I am going to find just the perfect frames for these because I have a whole set of these and an empty wall just begging for them to be hung. Who won’t smile as you walk past these daily?! I am going to pick up ten 9″x12″ frames and line the hallway with these gems. I’ve been saving them since Dominic was a baby, after all.
Never done! This is the exact reason I love hearing ideas from team players or new employees. Just looking at an issue from a different angle sometimes solves everything. I find this to happen in quilting as well. Sue and I approach every.single.thing.in.life from a different perspective. We learned long ago to use our words and to communicate so we can both get to the end together.
First day of school! My great-great-nephews started school in mid-August to various degrees of excitement. Up first, is the pre-school enrollee, Peyton. You can see he has mastered the pouty lip quite well. Isn’t that an adorable backpack with his name embroidered on it?!! He was really trying not to cry while not cooperating with his mom over pictures. Peyton’s brother, Brady, on the other hand, was quite excited to be returning to the classroom. Second-grade rocks, says Brady, especially when you have a cool Mario Brother’s backpack.
Well, Addison, Dominic, and Chase had another great week. D&A got some new red sunglasses. Dominic seems to think there is going to be a cold front coming through soon . . . if only. He’s all boy, too, playing with his Tonka garbage truck. The garbage can opens! The three musketeers visited Union Grove Days and checked out the inside of a fire truck. Dominic was SHOCKED that he wasn’t going to go for a ride in the truck. There were seats and seatbelts so why aren’t we riding?? He pitched a fit worthy of an almost four-year-old. He turns FOUR today! How did that happen already?!!
Being the kind boy that he is, Dominic helped Momma with the birthday sign for Chase. Someone is six months old in spite of D changing up the letters! Addison is marching down the block in her boots, and then says, keep up momma! You know that pony was swaying! Finally, Addison is helping GG with her iPad. You press right here to start the app, GG. ~smile~
