I Love Thursday #180

This is the 180th post of things we love for the week. We post each week along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out.  You will surely find something to inspire you.

Love #1

Lily of the Valley! I finally have some of these lightly-scented Lily of the Valley plants thriving in our garden bed. I know they are quite prolific and will fill in the area rather quickly, which is just fine with me. These lovelies lined the driveway of my parents’ home and I recall picking the dainty small flower bells as a child. They make me smile and think of my mom who would place the short stems in a shot glass. HAHA!

Love #2

Blogger friends! This beautiful notebook journal cover was made for me by Brenda at Songbird Designs. Isn’t it just gorgeous?!! The stitching is exquisite and it looks even better in person. I am so amazed at her incredible talent and her overly generous nature. I’m on the hunt for the perfect lined notebook journal to insert under the flaps. The size is just perfect, too – I think she could make a fortune selling these . . . don’t you?

Love #3

The Arts are back! My great-niece, Sierra, is a professional ballerina. (Yes, I love saying that and bragging a bit whenever I can!) They are back to practicing and will soon be back to performing as before. I noticed that Broadway shows are back, as well. Soon, all the Arts will be available for our enjoyment. Yippee!

Love #4

Liliana! Speaking of great-nieces, we have another one who just graduated this past weekend. We proudly share Liliana who is ready to take on the world in a positive way. She actually finished her high school courses in January and has started in an Esthetics program. The best is yet to come.

Love #5

It’s a great time to be Colt! He always has a sweet smile for everyone (and those blue eyes!!). Batbaby is available with a ball to throw, a bounce in his step, and a big smile on his face. For Sue’s birthday, Andrea got her three kiddos in Batman regalia and sent her a snapshot. No harm came come with these three plus Colt on the watch! Addison and Dominic are still too cool for their pool. They both just tick back and enjoy some juice as often as they can.

Baby Chase likes chillin’ in the Elmo chair while his sister is not enamored with it one bit. She wants to sit in the chair! Talking to Chaser while he’s in the bouncer is fun and big sister, Addison, shows him how the toys work. When Chase isn’t in the bouncer, Addison puts her babies in and helps them to bounce since their legs aren’t nearly long enough. Dominic was one tired boy after last Sunday’s activities. We try to wear them out when they visit us! Finally, Dominic went to the outside Library program where they learned about parrots. He colored his parrot at home (Addison did too but I didn’t see the picture). They love visiting the library!

That notebook cover is amazing…love it! And the little ones just capped off the beautiful pics this week…those dimples, oh oh, somebody’s mama is in for some heavy duty teen years when the girls start lining up…LOL All of them are such dolls! How lucky to have them around so close!

Love love love Lillies of the Valley. I have some in my yard and I love when they appear. That Colt is adorable but the threesome is quite a gang. They are so lucky you try to wear them out – I am sure they appreciate it. Love Love Thursdays.

  5. Sally says:

Wow, some great likes this week! We had lilies of the valley in our yard when I was a kid. Always loved them. That notebook cover is terrific. Yay for the arts and graduation!

  6. Colette says:

I saw a post somewhere a broadway performer was talking about the theaters reopening! Singers talking about having concerts. I have a grand daughter that is graduating from high school this year (a year early), and not even 17. Sometimes I don’t think it is such a good thing for them, I like to encourage them to be kids longer, adulthood is long and strenuous. Colt and those stinkin dimples and blue eyes are just too cute. Love all the kiddos in the batman gear. Addison and Chase in her chair I see tears in her eyes.

OH my, such cuteness! I can’t stand it. LOL

  8. I’m pretty sure the parents love that you wear out the kiddies when they spend time with you. They are so good looking and look at those great nieces as well. Both families, blessed!
I looked up close at the stitching on the notebook cover…simply beautiful. Yes Brenda could definitely sell them.
Lily of the valley…so pretty. I had a lovely Lily of the Valley broach bought from the Met but lost it in my fire. So dating myself because I love broaches. You two have a great weekend!

So many wonderful “Loves”. It is so good to see the arts opening up. That notebook cover is beautiful. Those littles are so cute. Glad the library is part of their growing up years. It is still my second home…maybe because we didn’t have TV until I was 10. So unusual to see Dominic asleep. Addison is full of it isn’t she. Have a great week.

  13. I love Lily of the Valley, too, Roseanne! Mine are not blooming this year, boo hoo! That’s a great notebook cover, and a generous quilty friend, too. Colt definitely does gave a great smile! I love the parrot and the pool looks wet and cool. Fun summer activities!

What wonderful, happy things in your post! I was hoping for a picture of all the littles, but that smile on Colt’s face is a winner – wasn’t he just a baby the other day? Love that notebook cover.
