I Love Thursday #178 Plentiful Blessings
This is the 178th post of things we love for the week. We post each week along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Bored cat! This kitty seems to convey complete boredom quite well, don’t you think? Some days, that’s exactly how I feel after the drive home from work. All four limbs splayed out, computer ignored, laying on whatever I land on.
Cereal!! The kids at one of our local schools started collecting cereal as a donation project. They hoped to gather 1,000 boxes. Instead, they collected 2,300!! Many, many hands set up the makings of a wonderful domino display over two floors of the school. The picture on the left shows the cereal carefully placed going down a set of stairs and around the corner. The domino chain culminated in the gym leading to the stage. The Principal launched the chain event and students and staff along the way cheered as it gained momentum. Afterward, everyone helped collect the knocked-over boxes which were all donated for charity. What a fun event that involved everyone in the school. It truly makes my heart happy.
Seam tape! I remember when Allison first shared this Diagonal Seam Tape with us – I intended to get some right away. Fast forward many months and I finally ordered some from the Fat Quarter Shop. The nifty lines don’t seem to line up with my Elna’s settings but it could very well be operator error. I sewed some HSTs (half-square triangles) quite successfully using the markings matched to the center needle-position. Yippee! No more marking once I’m sure I have this stuck down in the correct place.
It’s just about summertime for our littles and they have the activities to show for it. Sliding down a big slide, it looks like Addison is telling Dominic to “hurry up” and go! Next up, the duo is sitting in the pool, chatting and having some juice. Seriously?!! Addison takes a break to dance and walk her babies around the pool. Colty gets into the action, going down the slide with balls in his hands. Ahh, that water feels good! Colt tells Addison to come on in the playhouse – the door is open and we’re having f.u.n. in here.
Summertime is made for ice cream, whatever the flavor. Dominic carefully gets a spoonful while Addison tries not to get the dreaded ice cream headache. Ahh, more time together! Those two never fight, right mom and dad?! Sweet baby Chase is just adored by his other brother, Dominic, while he tells Auntie Rose there’s no time for a nap. Addison briefly sits in the Elmo chair and smiles at Daddy, but soon they all enjoy the floor for a good TV program with Daddy, too. I just ADORE that last photo! Who needs a new couch that was FINALLY delivered on Monday?!! Clearly, it’s a worthwhile program. ~smile~
Last minute addition! Chaser is three-months-old now and his mom took some sweet pictures. Worthy of its own Love, here is Mr. Chase Michael at three months as of yesterday. ~smile~
I can’t wait to get my hands on him this weekend and give him some kisses and tell him all about what’s happening.
