I Love Thursday #171 Copious Blessings
This is the 171st post of things we love for the week. We post each week along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
AC/DC. Our new logo to represent our four littles – isn’t it handy that Joann Fabrics has it available (on clearance, no less) in fabric form just for us?! We can make anything we want to show our support of our littles – a bag, a quilt, a tote, the items are endless. It works until we have a fifth little, anyway. I couldn’t even tell you a song by the band AC/DC but I do enjoy the lightning bolt in between the letters!
African penguins! Two African penguin chicks were born in March at the Racine Zoo in Wisconsin. They are on the endangered species list so it is encouraging to hear of their birth. Just thinking of the continent of Africa, I can’t say I think of penguins. I know a good many research teams leave from Good Hope for Antarctica – we learned that while visiting New Zealand several years ago. That is something that is on my bucket list – a visit to Antarctica via a cruise departing from South America. Alas, that will probably never happen (too expensive and Sue is afraid of drowning). I’ll have to be content with visiting these two penguins when they are a bit older with our littles. I think we should get a Zoo pass this year, don’t you think?!
Spider plant flowers! Having lost most of my office plants during the pandemic, I have been nursing my spider plant back to good health. I’d say it has arrived now that it has oodles of new shoots and blossoms, too. Considering it only gets watered once a week and it’s mostly ignored, it is performing like a champion.
First off, here’s a picture representation of DAC when each of them was one month old. Chase just turned one month last Friday, and he takes great comfort when his brother holds him. Just prior to this picture he was really crying.
Chase loves to listen when you talk to him, and he always looks you right in the eye. Here, he’s telling GG to tell him more as well as Addison enjoys being a big sister. Finally, Colt received his first haircut and he looks so handsome.
Don’t miss the last SAHRR (Stay At Home Round Robin) quilt parade!
