I Love Thursday #169 Return Blessings
This is the 169th post of things we love for the week. We are returning back to posting along with LeeAnna from Not Afraid of Color and several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you. Our last Love Thursday post was February 4th! So many positives I missed sharing but at least I’ve regained my senses.

Love #1
Gosh, there are so many things I’m thankful about but the first thing that comes to mind is the vaccine. I am fully vaccinated and yesterday marked the end of the two-week period post-second dose. Woohoo! I was sick as a dog after the second dose but that only lasted two days. It’s behind me and I am filled with gratitude that my school district was able to include me in the list of front-line workers.

Love #2
Spring really IS coming! We had a record-making winter in many aspects. First, hardly any snow in December and January with mild temperatures. Never fear, though! We made up for the deficit of snow in February and set a near-record for the most snow in a single 24-hour period. Ugg. Thanks to the nice blast of warmer temperatures the 24″ snowpack has melted completely away. Even those really ugly late-winter snow piles are gone. Isn’t it nice to see a little green peeking through the brown mulch?!

Love #3
Our little Addison has found herself in a new bigger bed. While she never had an interest in climbing out of her crib before they moved into a new house, that cannot be said now. After determinedly climbing out of her crib three times in one night, it was obvious that a change was needed. At the same time, our girl became a bad sleeper with bags underneath her eyes. I guess there were just too many changes at one time. Now that she is ensconced in a full-size bed it is crystal clear that she needs a new quilt. Her baby quilts, while still loved and adored by her, just don’t cut it any longer. They are woefully too small!

This sweet little ballerina is one theme we are considering. Addison has gone through an eyes-closed phase and twirling is one of her favorite past-times. She is NOT a fan of pink at all so we won’t even consider keeping the tutu, hair ribbon, laces, and ballet shoes pink.
Love #4
AC/DC is my coin phrase for our littles going forward for now. Addison, Colt, Dominic, and Chase have to share the limelight although Chase may warrant his own separate Love section at times. There’s just SO much busyness going on . . . let’s get to it! Dominic and Addison got to enjoy some sidewalk chalk; however, it was not up to Dominic’s standard. He doesn’t want boring, white chalk (not to worry, Auntie Rose got them some colored chalk). During her walkabout in the backyard, Addison discovered a nice, big mudhole. Dominic kept his distance . . .
Buzz Lightyear, a.k.a. Dominic, needs to beef up a bit so his jetpack will fit! He’s discovered the spinner for HiHo Cherry-O. What does one do with that?! It’s a good time and fun-filled day although Chase doesn’t quite know it. In his snazzy blue and white sleeper, Chase was listening to Addison sing “Let It Go!” from Frozen. He wanted to sing along, too, it seems. And why does Momma put that pacifier just out of his reach?! Mean. Finally, we had a small Elmo cake after Colt’s birthday so he could have some cake with his cousins. Gamma did a great job on Elmo!

The grandkids are adorable. Easy enough to change the colors of the ballerina. Speaking of colors, I too have been enjoying seeing the glimpses of green popping up all over. Sorry the vaccination made you so sick but happy to hear you’re over it now.
I don’t think I was as sick as you after dose 2, but I didn’t feel well. It is a blessing and happy day to get the vaccine!!
Your littles are so precious and I enjoyed the chalk story! I guess I didn’t realize that you were their Aunt.
I’m so glad to hear you have both shots now but sorry to hear you reacted to it. I’m so very happy to see you back posting and love, love, love seeing the littles. It’ll be fun to see Addison’s new quilt come in to being.
That’s funny that Addison doesn’t like the color pink. I’m not a big fan of light pink myself though I really enjoying the darker spectrum of pink. That’s going to be another adorable quilt for this much-loved little girl!
It was a wild February weather wise. We got some of the snow, but it was that bitter cold that’s the chilliest memory. The kiddos are always so busy. So glad your state prioritized teachers and front line workers.
Yay to be all set with the vaccine! Spring thought about it, came back with winter, and now thinking about spring again. The kids are cute. How exciting for the big bed!
So very happy for you on getting fully vaccinated! Bravo! Addison must not want to miss out on anything, so much excitement going on to sleep would be to miss something. Both my children were like that. They would finally drop from exhaustion behind a chair or I’d take them for a ride and they would drop off in their car seats. Hard to believe that was over 35 years ago. Time does march on. Thank you for sharing.

AC/DC, I love it!!! Will look forward to more of that “band”!
Woohoo for being fully vaccinated. I got my first dose Monday. Wow look how big Colt is! Happy Birthday! Little Chase is adorable, love the striped sleeper. So nice to have you back in the fold.
So happy you are fully vaccinated and the worry is diminished on that front. Those littles are such heartbreakers. That Addison is full of mischief. My daughter could climb out of her crib and run through the mine-field of the toy strewn floor in the dark faster than a rabbit. She was about two when we moved her to a bunk bed. No matter what you choose for a big girl quilt, it will be lovely. Chase will be chasing after his two older siblings all his live. Thank you for sharing those “loves” with us.
Hooray for the vaccine! That baby is so adorable and will grow so fast. Fun to see the kiddos growing up!
Hooray that you’re fully vaccinated! Me, too! AC/DC is the perfect way to identify your littles now. Chase looks like a sweetie, and makes Colt look so grown up! Have fun making A a new bed quilt!
Love love love your photos of AC/DC! Yea for a big bed quilt!
Yay for being fully vaccinated! A ballerina quilt will be fun to make, and no pink is easy to do. I actually have a paper-pieced pattern of cute ballerinas that I could send you (at least I think I still have it, will check), it’s a small wall quilt. 🙂 Love those photos of the kiddos!
Love the idea for Addasyn’s quilt and I’m with her…pink is just not a go to color…the pictures of the little ones are so dang heart smiley! Thank you! There we go, now the week is complete…
Great to see the little ones!! Baby Chase will be sitting up and playing in the wink of an eye…they grow so fast! The ballerina quilt is a great idea for Addison…in her favorite colors of course!! And Grandma did a great job on the Elmo cake!
The kids are getting so BIG!!!! Wow! So nice to see them again! Looking forward to Addison’s quilt! Looks like it will be fantastic! Sending you lots of hugs!
