I Love Thursday #164 So Many Blessings
This is the 163rd post of things we love for the week. Merry Christmas Eve to those of you who celebrate Christmas. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
USS Wisconsin! The USS Wisconsin ship is parked in Norfolk, VA, and is decorated for the season. This just makes me smile and I wonder if other ships in the area are similarly decorated. I hope just seeing this brings a smile to many people’s faces in the nearby area.
Dead battery! Friday morning at 4:45 a.m. I went out to leave for work and my car battery was dead. Technically, it had too low of voltage to start the car. I took Sue’s car to work – thankfully she works from home right now. I’m so thankful for that option and also that my insurance offers roadside assistance. I called them to get a jump, but the battery wouldn’t hold the charge. I was able to upgrade the call to tow and the nice technician pulled my car out from inside the garage. How lucky and lovey is that?! Three hours later I had a new battery that was in-stock. The day ended much better than it started!
Dominic spent an afternoon with Annie Sue (Auntie Sue) wearing his green turtle (dinosaur) and they had loads of fun. It seems that Addison was not too impressed with being left behind – she sat in Momma’s chair with all of her babies, frowning at Daddy. The next day, though, all was better when it was time for frosting cookies that Gamma made. Dominic was the man for the job, scooping frosting out of the can . . . or was he? It then went right into his mouth, knife and all. It seems our little princess is sporting a sprinkles beard. Finally, someone who likes sprinkles with me!
Addison LOVES sitting on Annie Sue’s lap especially with all of her babies! When the three cousins are together there is plenty of toys strewn about. Colt discovered there is plenty of room in the car in Gamma’s basement for his cousin Addison to join in with the driving. Good thing because she was having a hissy fit when she didn’t get to drive the car. One more picture of Colt standing, ready to take off with his cousins! Colt just turned nine months last week. He was one fabulous outcome from the COVID pandemic. Finally, Colty was in AWE of the Christmas lights even beyond getting out of his car seat for the viewing.
