Love #1

Mask side effect! I saw this meme and laughed right out loud. I’m wondering how wearing the mask into work from my car during the cold weather is going to be. Will my glasses steam up outside like this and then even more when I reach the warm air of the building?! HAHA – this really cracked me up. I have an issue recognizing people I know – I apparently only look at faces, not body shapes and cues when looking at acquaintances.

Love #2

Love! “Love, love will bring us together. Think of me babe whenever . . . ” I’m dating myself by remembering this Captain and Tennille song. I even remember their variety show while the young folks are saying, “who??” If you’re harboring an anger against someone, let it go. I thought this was a nice meme for all of us to hold close today.

Love #3

Is it a paint shortage? Here is one last meme that really cracks me up. This is so me just the other morning. It seems like it is extra dark when it is raining although there is only one degree of dark. There’s not a dark dark – it’s just plain dark. As I was driving, I seriously thought that there must be a 2020 paint shortage. The lines on the road needed to be repainted more frequently than they correctly are. Perhaps it’s an issue unique to 2020? Is it too much to ask that the paint lines be updated now and then, or is the issue my eyes? I did just turn 62.

Sweet pea little Colt says happy November! He rocked his first Halloween. First, as Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story II, and then as a Mummy and mommy’s favorite boy. ♥ ♥

Love #5

Did you have a Happy Halloween??!! Addison was playing with Colt while Dominic was at school. Colt just didn’t understand why Addison was crawling into the bin. What’s in there that is just so cool? Should Colt crawl in, too? Next, was an exciting day. It was Auntie Rose’s birthday and cookies were on the menu. First, we roll out the dough which Dominic had a hand in. Then cookie cutters were used and licked to get the excess dough removed. Addison wasn’t eating the dough nor was she a fan of the non-eaten dough. Finally, clean up, clean up, Addison was on clean up duty including trying some soap bubbles.

It was finally Halloween and a Happy one it was. Jessie had to share a chair with Buzz Lightyear, both characters from Toy Story. Woody and Jessie had the appropriate hats on while visiting GG and brought their trick-or-treat buckets with them. Dominic checked out a pretty orange pumpkin at Gamma’s house, and finally fell asleep on Mommy’s lap (his sister was still running around on a sugar high). It was a long, busy, fun-filled weekend.

Happy Belated Birthday! I don’t drive after dark anymore. And I think twice about driving in the rain. If I were to be truthful, I’d have to admit I was never a confident driver, and now that I have a few decades experience under my belt, I’m still not.
You’re not alone with not recognizing people with their masks. Several of my friends have let their hair go back to natural, between that and the masks, recognition is futile!

Happy Belated Birthday! I can relate to your comment about lines on the road – the thing that makes it even worse is when people leave their brights on!!! The closest we got to Halloween was carving pumpkins here at home – we just live out too far to get any kids. I so miss the dress-up and oohing and aahing over the adorable costumes!

I see there’s a lot of us here around the same age! Know what you mean, just turned 62 myself…those lines are mocking me. What cute baby blues on Colt! And the halloween pics are adorable! Just had me smiling like crazy after having to work all Saturday…made my week yet again! Thank you!

Happy Birthday! Addison….mud yum, cookie dough, bleh! LOL I can relate to the night driving, especially in the rain. Colt just can’t understand the crawling into the bin. They are all so cute in their costumes.

  5. I love seeing little kids at Halloween. I missed out this year. I rarely drive at night but I do have to be at work for 6. It’s pitch black out at that time so I know what you mean! I remember Captain and Tennille! I hope you had a happy birthday!

  6. Yep, older than me too. Are you tired of hearing that?
The little are super cute! I always enjoy stopping by to see what they have been up to . The world is better with children in it especially if you are a grandma with grandchildren in it.

I hope your birthday was fantasytic!

  7. Hi Roseanne. When you reach my age the night vision isn’t any better until you have cataract surgery. Now I can see to drive at night. Too bad we don’t go anywhere! 😉. Sweet pictures of the kids. I wanted to just snuggle with Dominic when he was so tired from all the excitement!

  8. That night driving meme is the best though I like the mask one too. My biggest issue with wearing a mask is negotiating the steps at work without falling on my face! Super cute kiddo photos as usual!

  9. chrisknits says:

Happy Birthday!!! I hope it was the best day!

  10. Sally says:

Ah, Captain and Tennille. 🙂 I have found people so puzzling through all this stuff.

I am so glad I don’t wear glasses! lol. I also hear you about lack of paint – those lines just disappear!

  11. Happy Birthday, Roseanne! A cookie party with little helpers sounds perfect! I have the fogging up glasses issue, too – it will be interesting to see what happens as the weather gets colder. It is hard to recognize people with their masks on! I’m sure I’ve walked right on by people I know many times. Glad there was lots of Halloween fun!

Whenever I try to put on glasses with the mask, they fog up…it is annoying. Your memes were funny. I do rely on lines being painted and dislike spring driving before they do get repainted. Funny, Roseanne, I’ve been thinking you are much younger than me, but it turns out not by as much as I thought. I’m 69 so we are sharing the same decade after all. Of course the kids are the real hit in these posts. Three little cuties enjoying so much fun and each other.

  13. Rochelle Summers says:

So much to smile about! Those meme’s are great and I really like the words of advice. Don’t worry about those who don’t like you. Colt is growing like a weed and those two cousins of his are busy, busy. I have to say Addison reminds me of my youngest at that age. No sleeping because we might miss something. And sugar acts as an accelerator! Thanks for making me smile.

  14. Judy B says:

Thanks for all the giggles this morning! And for sharing the antics of your littles! It’s one of my favorite things about Thursdays!

  15. karenfae says:

I don’t wear my mask in the car so that is not a problem – I put it on right before I leave the car and have a little metal piece sewn into the mask across the nose to clamp it more firmly over it – the kids add so much fun to a house don’t they but then when they go home (to me) it is a sigh of relief for the quite

  16. Oh those dimples are delightful!
Hope things have eased up where you are.

  17. Brenda @ Songbird Designs says:

I hope you had a wonderful birthday, Roseanne!! Looks like you had some great little bakers making your cookies! Loved seeing the babies in their costumes! Now I have an earworm!! Some useless trivia for you…did you know Tennille is from Montgomery, AL? Yep, she grew up about 70 miles south of me! Her dad was a musician/singer and owned a furniture store there. And I was told by a doctor I used to work for they changed their name from Tunnell to Tennille! I only have my trusted doc’s word on that, though!! LOL

  18. Barbara Esposito, @TheQuiltedB says:

How can it be Thursday again already??? Oh how I laughed out loud seeing Addison licking that cookie cutter! Girl after my own heart. I love how you all teach kindness to these littles. You are such a great influence on them they are blessed to have you both in their lives!

  19. Hi Roseanne…sorry I missed your birthday — you’re a year older than me! I’m in TX waiting for baby Jaxon to arrive♥ It’s Thursday and I wanted to see your beautiful little ones and the photos as always bring a smile to my face! I enjoyed your meme’s …enjoy your day my friend!

  20. You’re just a wee bit older than me 🙂 (a couple months), and I’m happily humming C&T now, as I sit here looking at your littles and grinning about Addison running around still on a sugar high. I don’t wear my glasses with my mask; I can still get by without them unless I’m driving. Night driving is more difficult for me lately, because I hardly go anywhere at night, so I’m out of practice!

  21. Vicki in MN says:

Happy, Happy Birthday! You are only a year behind me:) Always enjoy seeing what the littles are up to.
