I Love Thursday #151 So Many Blessings
This is the 151st post of things we love for the week. We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color. Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out. You will surely find something to inspire you.
Love #1
A little cactus humor. It seems there was a COVID casualty in my office while I was working from home. Three of my five cacti didn’t weather the non-watering storm. On the cactus theme, I thought the foot asleep meme was pretty funny. That sums up what my foot feels like sometimes when it falls asleep.
Love #2
Two more memes! This one made me giggle just thinking of fake news . . . and a clean house.
In honor of Zoom meetings and Jedi training, for all of our school teacher friends past and present . . .
Love #3
Baby Colt spent time with Dominic and Addison on D’s birthday. It seems there is a new fascination with baby toys now that they are pulled out again for Colt. Colt was also in the thick of things at the next celebration, sitting right by his cousin. ♥ ♥
Love #4
Okay – I’m admitting it up front – this collage of photos is a bit heavy on the Dominic side of things. After all, he did just turn three and I think he has quite a pose with his sign. While his actual birthday was mid-week, he celebrated with his sister outside with some cupcakes. Following the frosting extravaganza, some time in the baby pool and at the water table allowed for a good dousing. His choice for a birthday dinner – why, a Happy “Face”, of course (a.k.a. Happy Meal).
Friday, we all gathered at Gamma’s house for another celebration. Paw Patrol socks, several Woodie and Buzz dolls, and a hug for his new big boy quilt. Even Addison had to hug the new quilt! Then it was time to blow out the candle on his Three cake and help Grandpa blow out his two candles. Finally, Dominic could enjoy some golf in the backyard and train for an eventual caddy job. He’s got it covered except for pulling the bag behind him – he’d rather push it.

Roseanne – thanks for all the humor. Just what the doctor ordered today! And always get a lot of joy from the pictures of your littles! Enjoy the rest of your week!
What wonderful celebrations he had!! Colt is just getting so big!!! And Addie, as cute as ever!
Yay for Dominic. What great photos. Colt is gonna follow him around- how cute. Yeah, I’ve killed cactus from not watering but it’s still sad. I like the fake news. Haha.
Roseanne thank you for sharing giggles and littles with us. My heart lightened looking at your slide show for sure! D is such a sweet boy. 😉
It just makes me want to sit in the floor in the middle of them all and soak up the happiness! What a fun post! And I like the funnies too!
The cactus and fake news both made me laugh! I love the pictures of the kids. So very cute!!
I enjoyed your slide show even if Dominic was featured. I should do that on my blog some time.
Your memes truly made me smile. The cactus foot and “fake News” were my favorite.
Love the memes. Happy 3 Big D. Looks like he had an awesome celebration week. Colt obviously adores his big cousin Dominick! What a fun week.
Your memes made me laugh out loud, Roseanne! Especially the Star Wars one! I can hardly imagine what that must be like for teachers and parents, especially with the littlest kiddos. So sorry some of your cacti didn’t survive. Of course, the baby toys are interesting again – someone else is playing with them now! Love the pictures from Dominic’s birthday!
I guess that shows that cacti don’t last forever without some care. Heh. I spent yesterday cleaning the house top to bottom. Gah! So much of it you don’t even see! I’m amused at the idea that it’s fake news.
Thanks for putting a smile on my face and keeping it there all the way through your post Roseanne. What a time those kids have and how grown up is Colt getting, sitting there with his cousins enjoying all the hijinks too. How sweet to have the quilt so appreciated in the midst of toys. A lovely post but sorry you lost those cacti…who knew they needed so much water.
great list… hope work is working for you…obi wan
Love seeing the kids and your memes make me laugh. Never too much Dom!!! 🙂 Have a great day!
You have the most wonderful photos of those littles. It is true, old toys become new again when they disappear for a while. It seems Dominic had a great birthday and every little child wants to help open presents. I love the memes and had to copy and send out the Jedi one to friends with school age kids. My feet feel like that cactus foot sometimes. Thank you for taking the time find all those fun things.
What wonderful celebrations you all had with Dominic. He is growing up fast! Now, those memes, gave me a good laugh. I love my Thursday friends who post their loves!
Hey, you can pull or push a golf bag, it’s perfectly acceptable (at least it was when I used to golf)! The memes had me chuckling, and I hadn’t thought about office plants and their survival. BigJ has several, so I’m wondering how they are doing. Thanks for the fun photos of the birthday celebration.
fun kiddie fix, thanks!
We can always count on you or the kiddos to give us a chuckle or a smile!
Those memes LOLOL. I can’t believe he’s 3; seems just last year he was Cole’s size! Glad you were able to get together to celebrate.
So cute the three of them! And the quilt love is precious! The more I see it, the more love that quilt. Feliz cumple again to Dominic…he is going to have a wonderful life with such warm, loving family!
Oh my gosh Roseanne – Dominic looks so grown and dapper posing for his 3 year old picture! James Bond watch out! But honestly, is there anything better than seeing a loved one loving their quilt? Looks like the birthday week was a hit. Happy Thursday friend!
