I Love Thursday #145 – Plentiful Blessings

This is the 145th post of things we love for the week.  We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color.  Several additional friends also share on a weekly basis – be sure to check them out.  You will surely find something to inspire you.

Thursday

Love #1

Paw Patrol bike helmet!  Since our boy is now able to pedal his tricycle it was time to get a bike helmet.  He carried it home and was SO proud of himself – it was one of the treasures that joined him in his bed at nap time.

Love #2

Seven Little Words!  Thank you, Jocelyn, for sharing this website link.  Each day it gives you a hint and then scrambled letters to form seven words.  I sure do enjoy playing along each day.  If you would like to check it out yourself here’s the link to Seven Little Words.

Seven Little Words

Love #3

Baby Colt had a BIG week.  He got a chance to enjoy sweet potatoes, which he enjoyed VERY much.  Those blue eyes are so captivating!

Plus, he watched his very first MLB game – the Cubs, of course, and they won!  Fly the W sweet Colt, fly the W.

Love #4

Dominic just loves his cousin, baby Colt.  He runs to him first thing wherever he is and gives him a big kiss.  Last week, Dominic played a rather mean trick on his sister.  He announced that Gamma was here, and Addison ran to the back door.  Sadly enough, Gamma wasn’t visiting but Addi kept a vigil up for a bit.

Next, we have two models in Dominic’s new bike helmet.  Dominic himself wore it out and on his bike but Addison couldn’t help admiring herself in it.  That handwriting is on the wall, isn’t it?!  Addi needs her own helmet – we’re on it.  While she doesn’t quite have the knack for pedaling yet we know it won’t be long before she’s a natural.  Gamma got a new pool!  With seats and cup holders and everything!  Addison enjoys a snack while her brother ‘swims’ and basically kicks up a lot of water.

Join us each Tuesday for our hosted linky party called To-Do Tuesday.  Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

I need that pool!!!! Love those baby blues.

  2. The kids grow so fast! That is one cool pool. So glad you are getting the kids started with helmets from pretty much the git go. I’ve bicycled since college and have seen some very nasty accidents where kids and adult haven’t been wearing helmets. (Those mostly when I was in the emergency room for something or other, stitches in my chin, broken collar bone or being hit by a car all while on a bike).

Cool helmet! How fun to watch Colt watching baseball. That’s a pretty fancy pool!!!Thanks for the sweet photos as usual.
    Enjoy your day!

  4. Doesn’t that pool complete with cup holders look refreshing! I love that Colt watched his first Cubbies game and the Cubs were able to fly the W flag after their win. Though I’m a longtime SF Giants fan (for over 50 years!), the Cubbies are my back-up team. Take care, Mary.

  5. I play Seven Little Words everyday. Isn’t it fun and addicting??? The kids are cute as ever. I like their pool! it’s bigger than my little one!

  8. That’s a great bike helmet – good idea to start them on that habit young, I think! I’ll have to check out that word game. That looks like a wonderful pool! I bet the kiddos love it!

Love your loves!!! Dominic is such a tease! And at such a young age! He’ll be the class clown with the big twinkle in his eye and everyone will adore him, I’m sure of it! 🙂

Oh don’t kids love these pools! And a fancy one with cup holders and seats! Life is good isn’t it, watching these three grow and experience all the good things life has to offer. The family is sure blessed too with you two being a part of it all.

  12. They look like they are having a very fun summer! A new pool? What’s better than that on these hot summer days! Very cute pics to share! Hugs!

  13. Kathleen McCormick says:

Wow! They are growing so fast those kiddies. Love the sister imitating the brother and the big tease begins! She will be tortured but she will learn to hold her own. Fun to find new games to play. I do them for awhile, but do like the word challenges. I looked at that one and was flummoxed so I may need to try it, and it a once a day thing…kind of nice. Happy Thursday…already.

  14. lapaylor says:

she wants to be like her big brother! That baby face with potatoes on it! The joy of watching the children discover the world… LeeAnna

Awww so many blessings! LOL @Dom’s trick–well he’s a big brother alright! Have a wonderful weekend!

  16. Judy Blauer says:

I’m sure Gamma’s pool is a hit! I love seeing little eat well, my great grands are so picky! I think it stems from a very picky daddy and a mama that has numerous allergies!

  17. Connie says:

So sweet! Love the pic with Cole and Dominic! Poor Addison, we sympathize, older brothers, sigh, waddayagonnado? Made my week, as always! Thank you!

  18. Gosh, those littles seem to grow inches every week! Dominic seems to be enjoying his big brother role, adding the fun of playing mean tricks. Watch it, Dominic, Addi will catch on soon and then you may have that turned on you. (Speaking as a baby sister, I know things. . .)
