Thursday

Love #1

Nurse in the family!  We are SO proud to be able to share that Andrea, RN is now official.  She took her Boards last Thursday and we had a few tense hours waiting for the official email.  She has worked hard for this license and now she can start fulfilling her dream.  Big congrats to her with all our love. ♥ ♥ ♥

Andrea RN

She has certainly earned this Pin that she received in December.

Level 1 and 2 thinkers!  This is from Steve Beck, who recently shared this interesting concept:

Level 1 thinkers talk about “I” and “me” a lot. They’re self-absorbed; they don’t see the big picture. The way they see things, there’s them . . . and there’s everybody else.

Level 2 thinking is done by people who DO see the big picture. It shows in little ways and in big ways: they push in their chair when they leave a restaurant. They hold the door for somebody. They say “we” and “us”, versus “I” and “me”. Finally, they understand we’re all in this together, and they realize that everything they do affects everyone around them in a negative or positive way!

Which level thinker are you?  I know without a doubt that I’m a Level 2 but there is always room for improvement.  Maybe we need a Level 3 thinker . . .

HAHAHA!  I saw this owl-meme on Facebook and it really struck me as funny.  Have you ever gotten on your own nerves??!

Love #4

I seem to be surrounded by a great many overthinkers so it’s a good thing I’m a direct kind of person!

Overthinker

Love #5

Saved from a short slideshow this week, we got some cute pictures at the last minute.  You’d think someone was studying and taking a big test or something!  Addison and Dominic were happy to help Uncle Billy with his cupcake.  He couldn’t eat ALL of that by himself, anyway, right?!  Coloring is always the order of the day, especially together.  Addison sits like a big girl at Barnes and Noble, while Dominic helps Gamma shake the cotton balls.  Dominic was chill at our house during the RN impromptu celebration, just enjoying the passenger train.

Addison, the big girl feeds herself in Dominic’s highchair.  Then, it was time for a LONG walk to the swings.  I’ll bet Addison thought it was a few miles away.  The end result is SO worth the walk, though.  If only the wind could be blowing through her hair!  Addison knows how to take care of an older brother – just sit on him.  Finally, when all else fails just sit on his table and be the queen of the little people, literally.

Join us each week for our linky party called To-Do Tuesday!  Our other Linky Parties can be found by clicking the link above or along the sidebar on our website for more quilting fun – check out what our friends are up to.  Like/follow us on our Facebook page and you can share your photos of what you’re working on.  We would love to see them!

Roseanne – just when I thought I was too much in my head, I read your post. I guess I am not the only person that might think TOO much. But at least when I am thinking, it as a LEVEL 2! Entertaining photos of the littles – keep ’em coming – it is a VERY helpful distraction!

  3. Congratulations to Andrea! It’s very exciting to finally get licensed in the field you’ve chosen. It’s so nice that you’re able to spend time with the littles. They’re adorable!

  4. Hello #2 from another #2. 🙂 I tend to overthink and get in my way, but I like to think I’ve gotten better. Your darlings are darling. I love the cute photo of Addison sitting on her brother. Congrats to your Andrea!

  5. Susan Nixon says:

So adorable children. It’s THEIR mom who got her RN license? How exciting for everyone! I know that is a hard test, no matter where you take it. How wonderful they e-mail you right away, though. Congratulations!

  6. Oh the kids are so cute! And super congratulations for Andrea! I definitely understand about getting on your own nerves, when that happens to me I have to just go do something interactive with other people and try to snap myself out of the funk!

  7. Congratulations to Andrea. What a wonderful accomplishment! As for your littles, I confess to being a wee bit jealous of the time you get to spend with them. 😢 I’m missing my littles and looking forward to hopefully getting time with them soon!

    • Roseanne says:

      Oh Carol! I can totally understand how you would be jealous of the time we get with our littles. They are the biggest blessing and light in our lives. {{Hugs}}

Congratulations Andrea! I love that owl meme and I love that photo of Addison in the swing, her expression conveys such joy! Loved that photo of Dom looking at Addison with love, such a sweet boy! Have a wonderful week!

  9. Jocelyn Thurston says:

Big congrats to the new nurse in the family! Funnily, I just sent a catered tray of treats to the nurses caring for Mom at the long term care facility at home. She calls them angels and the feeling seems to be mutual.
I do get on my own nerves and with overthinking sometimes. SO lucky to have those lovely littles in your lives. Children can take us outside ourselves too.

  10. Mary says:

Don’t you just love watching those cuties in their own little world-learning and enjoying new things. I know I do. I love the photo on the swing or Addison sitting on Dominic. I’m a level 2- thats how we were raised-sorta- especially good manners and respecting others. But sometimes I can be blunt. So, I’m a work in progress. Haha.
Congrats to Andrea- we do appreciate nurses !!,

  11. Sally says:

Congratulations to Andrea!!!! Way to go!
I’m definitely a Leve 2 thinker, but as you said – always room for improvement!
Had to laugh at the owl … there is truth in that statement! I get that way when I’m overthinking! Love the slideshow of the littles – so cute!
    Happy Quilting! 🙂

  14. Congratulations to Andrea – that is a wonderful achievement! I like your info about Level 1 and 2 thinkers. I will strive to be a Level 2, but I’m sure I don’t always make it. Your slide shows always impress me, Roseanne! Such cute little ones you have, and so much fun with them!

  15. lapaylor says:

feeding yourself a cupcake is a no brainer!!! lol I like the quotes about thinkers… I find when I encounter level one thinkers they are flumoxed by my way of thinking.

  16. Congratulations to Andrea! I’m sure she’s relieved to be done with that process. I’m definitely a level 2 on my good days; level 1 on my bad. Yesterday I got on my own nerves – hahaha! And I’m an overthinker. The littles are just as cute as ever!

  17. Such good news for Andrea! Hooray Hooray Hooray!!!🥳🎊🎉. Love the getting on your own nerves – so often we do that don’t we? Happy Thursday!

  18. karenfae says:

I’m a level 2 hubby is for sure a 1 and after all these years it is certainly driving me crazy!! love seeing the little kids – I sure wish I had some around here –

  19. Colette says:

Congratulations Andrea! I agree there is a level 3 and I would call that the over thinkers that don’t do anything. Back in the day when I worked in the computer industry we called it analysis paralysis—-I am a level 2 look always look at the big picture. As usual great pics of the cutie pies. The getting on my own nerves….yep. That is when I need to step back and pray, or take a nap.
