I Love Thursday #108 Many Blessings

This is the 108th post of things we love for the week.  We post these loves each Thursday along with LeeAnna on her blog at Not Afraid of Color.  Several additional friends also share each week – be sure to check them out.  You will surely find something to inspire you.

Thursday

Love #1

Foxconn lights.  I am shocked at how close the new mega-building being constructed to the West of us actually is.  Never before would we see anything across that field.  Houses and many large trees used to stand between us.  This picture was just taken at sunrise the other day – imagine how it looks at sunset.  Technically not a “love” at all, I am trying to find the positive in the situation.  Snow will be really blowing across those now-empty lots, stopping mostly when it hits the back of our home.

I guess one positive is that the never-ending road construction will cease shortly when that snow starts blowing!

Love #2

What a difference a day makes!  These pictures were actually taken last week.  On Wednesday, I thought to myself, oh what pretty leaves.  Thursday/Halloween dawned with a little surprise of 7.5 inches of snow.  Merry Halloween!

Love #3

Halloween costumes 2019 style!  I couldn’t share the kiddos costumes until after the holiday.  Here’s a couple of photos that sum up all the fun times these kiddos had.  Dominic is a good sport to a point – he didn’t like wearing the Raggedy hat but agreed to pose in the turtle costume from last year.

Those little red noses just crack me up!  Oh, Dominic is holding a glow stick or two which he just loved!

Love #4

Hats are a success!  From the shopping trip while in the Wisconsin Dells, the cute hats I picked up apparently are a success.  Addison wears her without much complaint after close examination with Auntie Sue.  She would actually prefer to face plant on it – she loves how soft it is.

Dominic, on the other hand, examined every bit of his new hat and mittens with GG.  Later, he agreed to wear it and be photographed in it.

Isn’t it just the best when something you happen upon becomes a favorite gift?!

Love #5

You’d think I’d run out of photos to share this week after the previous multitude of photos, but no!  I’m just getting warmed up. Dominic is back to wearing his ‘new’ favorite shirt, now in a 3T.  It’s perfect for the Halloween season, too, don’t you think?  Here’s a boy in a basket with his favorite Elmo character – he was reading to him for a bit.   Auntie Sue was conducting a class in “What does a duck say?”  “Quack”, said Dominic.  “Quack, quack”, said the duck.  Addi was amazed!  This is how WE brush our teeth so early in the morning.  Addison’s making a fashion statement – she likes to walk with a little help from Gaga (grandma) and her new hat.  Finally, Addison says have a Happy Thursday.  Hearts for you!

Love, love, love the Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes! Kids and things on their heads – they either hate ’em or love ’em! I never get tired of pictures of the kiddos. Hope this week brings you even more to like!!!

Awww, they are so cute, loved their halloween outfits (so sorry about the snow–I think we are all in for a tough winter!). Those hats are so cute, love the face plant of Addie’s on her hat LOL!!! Have a great week. I hope the snow doesn’t drift too much your way! HUgs!

THe cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time- Addison sinking her face into that hat. Yes, both hats a real hit. And they’ll need them apparently. We got our first snow yesterday.

  4. Carol S. says:

Oh my gosh, such cuties in those costumes! I totally get the no “love” for construction near our homes. We have a freeway on-ramp that got moved a couple of lanes closer to my house. UGH! Thanks for sharing your Thursday loves…I love it!

What great loves! The photos for a difference a day makes are so pretty. Those costumes are great! Love those hats, and the face plant just made me laugh. Soft things like that are awesome!

  6. That looks like quite a construction project over there, Roseanne! Maybe the lights will be fewer when the construction is finished? 🙂 Love the Raggedy Ann and Andy Halloween costumes – so cute! Fun hats, too – they definitely do look soft!

Those hats are super cute! I love the picture of addison snuggling face into hers. And I love the raggedy Ann and Andy costumes! I still have the raggedy ann doll my mom made me when I was a little girl, it was the first toy I remember her making! What fun!

    Enjoy your day. mary

  11. I want to know what the construction will be too. That’s a lot of lights at sunrise. Ugh. Those littles are so stinkin’ cute!

  12. karenfae says:

are all those lights going to be bother you at night – like a glow off in the distance to the point it shows up through your bedroom window? I would want to plant some trees that would grow tall and block it I guess – but I live in the country and have a lot off trees as it is.

  13. Colette says:

The kiddos are so cute in their hats. OMG the cuteness with the raggedy ann and andy! I hear you about large empty spaces…I have been kind of growing snow/wind barriers since I moved in to help cut it down a wee bit.

  14. Vicki in MN says:

Sweetest little rag dolls ever!!! And those hats adorable:)

  15. What will the construction be? We lived in a construction zone for the first 1 3/4 years in our apartment and it is nice to have it done. The roads are lovely when fixed! The kids – they are too much. You did a great job shopping – I am afraid my grand-niece will suffer from some of the shopping too!

  16. Cocoa Quilts says:

Never tired of checking out the kiddos. Always investigating and enjoying the simple things. Keep them coming.

  17. Connie says:

Too cute! Love the hats! Now there’s a statement and a half…the Halloween costumes are perfect, just too perfect! Thanks for the huge smile to get through to the weekend!
