Gray Polka-Dots – Ombre – Eight Rows
Hand/Machine Quilted Gray Polka-Dot Baby Quilt
We’re expecting a baby soon. Well, not us ~giggle~ . . . but Sue’s niece is due in September. Her color scheme for the baby’s room is gray and white, and one wall has polka-dots. Unwittingly, we started on a gray and white baby quilt which will now obviously be for the baby. ~smile~ You can see above that Sue is hand quilting some of the blocks with a star motif. Stars on white-on-white starred fabric. For our little star-to-be!
Eight Rows
This is what eight rows of quilt blocks look like, waiting to be sewn together. Yup, that’s 56 blocks – seven blocks in eight rows. Once we get them all sewn together we’ll decide whether we need to add a border or not. Then it’s out for long-arm quilting! Woot woot.
Gray Ombre Strips Cut
Sue started cutting the strips from the gray ombre fabric for the blue/gray queen size quilt. We are trying a different, new for us pattern called Jimmy John. The blue strips were already cut – they are from a jelly roll. So small progress is being made, even on items that are not on my to-do Tuesday list! ~smile~
