Color of the Month Block Connection
Happy Happy Birthday to Sissy, a.k.a. Janice. It was a freezing cold day when she was born and that tradition continues today! ♥ ♥ ♥
Something new we’re doing this year is a color of the month block. We are joining in with Jen at Patterns By Jen for this monthly challenge.
The color of the month for January is green. This seems like a nicely organized sew along to me for several reasons. First of all, Jen has shared all of the colors by month at the start. Her inspiration, the Bells of Ireland, are all derived from nature and flowers. All of the blocks will finish at 12 inches, and I’m certain a layout will be shared. Another reason is the recommendation of friends who are also participating.
Our Color Block
The pattern for the current month is shared by Jen, at no cost. Thank you very much, Jen. We are hoping to use a similar low volume background fabric throughout the monthly blocks. Swiss Dot is our choice for the background and it is one of our very favorites. We’ve never met a Swiss dot that we didn’t just love! On the left you can see the Sand Swiss Dot fabric we chose by Riley Blake.

Hello Roseanne, I really like the block that you made! It is always fun for me to see what you and Sue are creating! Guess What? It is getting closer to the second month of our brand New Year and that month is February! So, just for being a tad bit awnry this morning, are you all prepared for the end of January and the start of February? Heck NO, I am not! You have got to be kidding, I fell asleep on the computer last night and did not get my post posted even!! LOL. Knew that one would get you giggling good. So have a marvelous day thinking about me snoring away with the computer on my lap…Ha, Ha, Ha!
