Blessings From Quilty Friends

When I started this blog “for Sue” back in February 2017, I never would have dreamed of the connections I’ve made with others.  I know I’ve said it before, but people who read or write quilting blogs seem to be a uniquely friendly group.  Some of the people I’ve ‘met’ through this blog are truly genuine connections, and I hope we get to meet face-to-face one day.  Last week, I received a package in the mail from two of these connections.  One package of blessings was for Dominic and one for Baby Girl and Dominic.  How sweet is that?! ♥ ♥ ♥

Halloween Monster Blessings

The first package that I received came from fellow blogger, Karla at My Sewful Retirement.  Karla lives in Florida and has been making some fabulous Fall offerings lately, even though she doesn’t experience a seasonal change like us northern state dwellers do.  She sent along this adorable t-shirt for Dominic.

Here he is being a slightly unwilling model, sitting in his Elmo chair.  He was happy to wear it for his visit to the pumpkin farm last Saturday.  Doesn’t he look adorable in it and it fits him perfectly!

Baby Girl and Dominic Blessings

Barbara designed one of our second sew along quilt choices (Snowballs Chance) and I follow her on Instagram.  She is also going to have another Moda Bake Shop release very soon!  Barbara sent a package to Baby Girl in care of me, and when I opened it this is what I found:

Isn’t this so cute?  A Me & My Sister fabric bow, pink and white tissue paper, a sweet card AND something special for big-brother-to-be Dominic with a dinosaur fabric bow.  So what did Baby Girl receive?  This adorable mermaid sleep sack along with a headband to declare her a star.

I already can’t wait to Baby Girl to get here but now I REALLY can’t wait.  Can’t you just picture her in this, smiling adorably at her Auntie Sue and Auntie Rose?!  I can.

And Dominic was enthralled with the dinosaur bow and the Little Blue Truck book.  He is really in to books lately – I sent Barbara a little video of him opening and enjoying turning the pages of his new book.  I cannot wait to read it to him!

Thank you SO MUCH to both Karla and Barbara.  It is so kind of both of you, and it really touches my heart.  Can babies, small children or anyone for that matter ever have too much love or too many people holding them in their thoughts and prayers?  We are lucky to have blessings like you in our lives.

What special friends! The shirt for Dominic is fabulous, and I’ll bet there were lots of comments on it. The mermaid sleep sack – SO cute and I can catch your image of the smiling mermaid, too. A person who gives books to children wins my heart, definitely!

Hello Roseanne, These are such fabulous gifts! I am glad that you shared them with us, it is always a blessing to see pictures and stories of Dominic and now before long Baby Girl. You are so right about bloggers and readers, I enjoy reading comments from everyone when I can on a couple of blogs that I follow. Yours or should I say Sue’s Blog, by the way…what is the story on this? If you have already explained just send me a link, but I am very curious! Great post today with so much love and smiling!! Have a great day!!!
