And the Winner Is Plus Some Love

Sue doesn’t consider herself a lucky person.  I, on the other hand, do think I’m lucky.  I also believe it depends on what you consider luck.  We both are blessed beyond words in so many areas of our lives, I can’t even say.  However, as far as being a winner in a contest or at a slot machine . . . umm, neither of us are very lucky.  Except recently that has changed in a big way for me!

Winner – NQBBH – Week #3

Benartex Winner

During the New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop week #3 (our introduction week), our post link was selected as a winner!  How exciting and fabulous is that?!  Last Saturday we had our present in the mailbox of two fat quarter rolls.  The name of the fabric is Color Flow by Benartex.  The picture above doesn’t really do justice to the seven different jewel tone shades included.  If you click on the Color Flow link, you will easily see the rich, deep purple along with the other six rainbow hues included.  Since two fat quarters were sent, we have plenty of fabric for a really special project.  Now the hardest part begins with determining what that project will be!

Winner on T-Sweets Blog

T-Sweets

Our friend and fellow blogger, Tracy of It’s a T-Sweets Day recently participated in a blog hop called Wish Upon A Star.  We also participated in the blog hop (free pattern for a star mug rug if you missed it) and visited each of our fellow bloggers posts to enjoy what they shared.  As usual, I left a comment on Tracy’s post and she was giving away a star-inspired pattern book called “Crazy of Not” by Buggy Barn.  The quilt she shared during the blog hop was made from this book.  Tracy recently informed me that she drew my name as the lucky winner of this pattern book!  She also enclosed  a sweet note – I am SO lucky.

Some Winner Love

Because I cannot talk about our many blessings without first thinking of this little sweet boy, here are a couple of winning pictures to bring a smile to your face.  The first one is so special because his Uncle William is a police officer, and he gave him this little car that lights up and makes noise (!!):

DJ Police Car

How is it the innately know how to make car noises and make a car go?!  At nine-months?!!  And the second picture is of our sweet boy who hates socks and naps.  He’ll show those socks by chewing on them!

DJ-Hate socks and naps

This is what sweet boy’s mom saw after a visit with Uncle John and Zeus, the dog.  So much work to be licked and crawl after a dog!

What fun to win the beautiful fabric AND a new book quilting book. Deciding how to use the fabric and what pattern to start with first is a thrill. Congrats!

that sweet boy is so so cute! with regards to “being lucky” or not, I suspect that you ladies are like me. We will never be millionaires monetarily, but we are billionaires in the area of family, friends, and the love we get from and give to them! Better than cash, no? Hope you are enjoying your get away!
