  1. Roseanne it’s so good to hear Sue’s Mom is home. Glad you didn’t have to do jury duty if the case was a nasty one. Doing your civic duty this way can be interesting. Just need to remind ourselves that winter will end eventually. Popsicles are meant for sharing by a sweet big brother! I’m giggling over the meatloaf photo.

Must be so great to have her home again! She sounds so positive and upbeat…that’s 99% of the battle right there! Bravo and all the best! And a big hug for the little ones…Chase looks so cute covered in food, not a look many can pull off! LOL

Great news about Sue’s Mom being home from rehab!!! She must be amazing! Good for her!
Jury duty … you may have skipped a bullet with this one!
The littles … so cute! And how generous of D to share his popsicle!
Love reading about your blessings! 🙂

  5. Blessed indeed you two! SO happy for Sue’s mom…may she grow stronger every single day in every way. I have never been served for jury duty and would love to…I think. You came close maybe. We are addicted to photos of those cuties, they always always make me smile.

What wonderful news for the two of you about Sue’s mom. A shower, hair washing, and good books….oh and her own bed!! Yes, it is great. So glad jury duty wasn’t a horrible experience. Yes, I’ve sat and waited, been interviewed, been released, had the trial cancelled at the last minute and served once. Only on TV is it really exciting! As for those boys, Dominic was nice to share. He is someone who is going to enjoy every lick of life and not rush blindly through it. Chase on the other hand is going to be taking a bite out of every fun thing that comes his way. He looked really tired in the meatloaf photo. Have a great weekend.

  7. Sue’s Mom looks like she’s rarin’ to go! Good for her…
Here’s to a weekend filled with sweet relief for you and yours.

Such good news about Sue’s mom. It is a huge worry, and it is funny how we plow through and then when it is over, I usually collapse in tears and sleep. Massachusetts does one day, if you aren’t picked you have done your duty. I did Federal Grand Jury for a year and half, listening to cases on terrorism and healthcare fraud. We were extended twice on a specific terrorism case….talk about nightmares. I don’t love that system either. I will have to find out what Maine does before I sign up to vote here. Ah, well, it is an icy day here in Maine….my least favorite of winter’s tricks! Have a great weekend.

  9. Great news that Sue’s Mom is home and recovering! My Mom also reads a lot using her Kindle!
I have been summoned for jury duty and served several times. You are right; it is boring and fascinating too. One of the times that I was summoned, I was dismissed because I said that I don’t drink at all…gotta be an example for my kids. Wonder what that case was about! Ha, ha!
It is snowing today…so pretty! 🙂

  10. I’m so happy Sue’s mom is home and real recovery has begun. Sounds like she is doing very well and is so motivated to heal completely. My mom broke three hips (YES, one twice when she climbed over the bed rails in the hospital after the first surgery and rebroke the original and broke the other hip) in one weekend! She recovered well because she was determined! Stay safe in the snow and have a great weekend. Loved how D was sharing his popsickle with Chase!! So sweet.

  11. What a great Life Happens List!
    So glad Mom is home
and Jury Duty – right? I got called – made it to the 12 jurors and then… all H*** broke loose and all I wanted to do was go back to my happy bubble where there are butterflies and unicorns and chocolate…. haha! So interesting tho!!!

    have a great week!!!

That’s the best news that She’s mom is home!! I have never wanted to serve on the jury, I can never make up my mind! Glad you didn’t have to.

Life happens, Roseanne, and most of us struggle to keep our heads above water. Then there is you – celebrating all mishaps and cherishing all the blessings in your life. I am glad Sue’s mom is home and I am sending her warm wishes for a speedy recovery. You stay safe and warm and sew when you can. Sending big, squishy hugs to you.

Great news that Sue’s mom is home and doing well! Glad you didn’t get jury duty; I’ve only been summons once and was passed on because I was very pregnant!! Love the pics of Dominic and Chase, makes me miss my little one. Enjoy the weather — the kids sent me pictures of the snow in Indy!

  15. Wendy Tuma says:

I’m so glad to hear that Sue’s mom is home, tucked in, and reading! Such great news! Also glad you didn’t have to serve on the jury. Those littles bring so much joy! Have a great weekend, Roseanne and Sue!

  16. Linda says:

What wonderful news! I don’t know anything about Sue’s Mom, but she looks like a sweetheart. How old is she? I wish Kindle had been around when my Mom was alive. I read books on my iPad with the Kindle app, and it is so much easier for me than reading the print in a regular book, so I know Mom would have been able to read much longer than she was able.
Love the photos of Dominic and Chase, so adorable. It is amazing that any food actually gets into a toddler’s mouth.
I was chosen one time to serve on a jury, but it was short-lived. We had just gotten our jury instructions and an introduction to the case and took a break. After the break as we were filing back into the courtroom, some family members of the accused got our attention and shouted “he is innocent you know!” So we told the foreman and the jury was dismissed. I was actually disappointed!

  17. Oh so happy Sue’s Mom is home. I know exactly what you mean by a sigh of relief! Hope she keeps moving around to prevent blood clots. I’ve been called for Jury duty too–for while it was every year! But I never was chosen to serve. Have yourself a safe and happy weekend and enjoy those adorable littles!!!
