ABC Wall Hanging Update

Sue is hand quilting the ABC wall hanging.  She advises that it is about halfway finished.  It is such a nice size project that it even accompanied us on the road trip to South Dakota.  She managed a few stitches while cruising across the state – it has a 80 mph speed limit!

Honestly, this poor little project has been neglected for months.  It was literally mentioned in the to-do lists from the beginning of my lists through number eight.  Geez!  Here is one little glimpse of an earlier mention with some progress in to-do number seven.  HAHA  You can see a close up of M below.  She is currently working on that letter –  just started it, actually:

This project is a great way to use up some scraps.  The cute dotted fabric was leftover from another quilt.  Here is another close up of some of the letters Sue has completed already.  She started at the bottom of the wall hanging, or the end of the alphabet:

It’s friend and other scrappy ABC wall hanging is still on the WIP board.  It has been hanging out there for months as well.  I finished hand appliqué quite a while ago. It will soon be worked on as leaders/enders as I am piecing our tutorial baby quilt this weekend.

I think will be listed in our Etsy shop when it’s complete.  We each have a similar wall hanging.  I hang mine in my office, and Sue hangs her’s in her classroom.  Maybe eventually the baby-to-be will need one, but we will cross that bridge then.  Who knows, it might just be the perfect beginning project for them to make for themselves?!
